I used to struggle to understand the difference between digital and analogue. I do not know what basic digital circuits are.

Today’s taught session from Dean clarified the difference between analogue and digital circuits. Digital circuits have inputs that are either ‘on’ or ‘off’ whereas analogue circuits use variable signals.

Taught Session
Logic gates and truth tables
Logic gates process electrical signals that represent TRUE or FALSE. Other terms may be applied but they all mean the same thing. The table on the right shows alternative recognised terms.
Gates are identified by their function NOT, AND, NAND, OR, NOR, EX-NOR and EX-NOR.
